Hoegi Station galbitang with extra ribs: Hoegi Wang Galbitang
Hoegi Wang Galbitang is a wang galbitang (beef short rib soup) restaurant near Exit 1 of Hoegi Station, by Hoegi intersection in Dongdaemun, Seoul. Taking her father out to build his strength back up, the writer ordered the fortifying special galbitang, which comes with 1–2 extra rib pieces, and the vitality galbitang: the ribs were plump with meat and the broth was mild enough to finish with rice stirred in. With banchan, rice, misugaru and barley gangjeong all free at the self-serve corner, Hoegi Wang Galbitang makes a filling, comforting meal for a parent.
