Yangjae noodle restaurant with pollack broth, Sunday night: Seonbawi

Seonbawi Memil Jangteo Yangjae Branch is a pure buckwheat noodle restaurant near Yangjae Citizens' Forest and the Yangjaecheon stream walking path in Seocho, Seoul. A Sunday visit at 6pm meant a wait for a table, and the mountain-pile clam buckwheat kalguksu for three did arrive piled with clams as the banner promises, though the broth tasted more of dried pollack than clam alongside hand-shaped buckwheat noodles and dadaegi chili paste. The seasoning at Seonbawi Memil Jangteo is mild, which makes it an easy choice for a meal with babies or older family members.
