Hapjeong Korean BBQ night, four bottles of soju for three: Ijjok
Ijjok Kimchi Samgyeopsal is a basement-level Korean BBQ restaurant within walking distance of Hapjeong Station in Mapo, Seoul, where kimchi is grilled alongside the pork belly. Visiting as a group of three to introduce a friend's boyfriend, the writer ordered the 2-3 person set plus a doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) and steamed egg set, a review-event bibim guksu (spicy mixed noodles), one extra serving of meat and three orders of fried rice, finishing four bottles of soju. At Ijjok Kimchi Samgyeopsal, the pork belly beat the pork jowl and the bibim guksu was the side worth ordering.
