Late-night galbitang near Hoegi Station: aronsatae at Hoegi Wang
Hoegi Wang Galbitang is a galbitang (beef short rib soup) specialist on Imun-ro by Hoegi Station in Dongdaemun, Seoul. A four-year Hoegi resident arrived with her boyfriend just before last order and ordered the restorative special galbitang (18,000 won) and the meat-packed aronsatae (beef shank) galbitang (19,000 won), with rib meat that slipped cleanly off the bone, plus self-serve banchan, barley gangjeong and misugaru. With galbitang elsewhere running close to 20,000 won, Hoegi Wang Galbitang is strong value for the portion.
