Marinated crab restaurant in Yangsan for a fall drive: Deodo Gejang
Deodo Gejang is a restaurant near Tongdosa in Yangsan, Gyeongnam, specialising in Jeju yellow crab jang (marinated crab) and assorted jang platters, with branches in Yangsan and Busan Haeundae. On a fall drive out to Tongdosa, the visit landed on a weekend afternoon after the peak, and two people ordered the signature assorted jang nutrition pot rice set at 28,000 won per person: flower crab jang, yellow crab soy jang and spicy yellow crab jang, plus octopus jang, abalone jang and soy-marinated peeled shrimp jang, all piled into brass bowls. Between the crab-shell bibimbap and the closing bowl of nurungji tea, Deodo Gejang makes a hearty meal before or after a Tongdosa outing.
