Travel lunch at a Yeosu shabu-shabu buffet self-bar: Tongkeun Shabu
Tongkeun Shabu is an all-you-can-eat shabu-shabu restaurant on the 3rd floor of a building on Mangma-ro in Hakdong, Yeosu, near Yeosu City Hall. The writer stopped in for lunch with her husband and 28-month-old daughter during a Yeosu trip, refilling shabu-shabu meat and vegetables as often as they liked and working through the self-bar's sushi zone, pork ribs, dakgangjeong (sweet crispy fried chicken), cold noodles, pizza, pasta, salad and fried rice. They finished by stirring egg, seaweed flakes, sesame oil and rice into the broth for porridge, making Tongkeun Shabu a filling family meal with a toddler in tow.
