Counter-seat solo meal in Seocho: house-made udon at Kosi Gyodae
Kosi Gyodae Branch is a Japanese restaurant on Seochodae-ro 48-gil near Gyodae Station in Seocho, Seoul, serving house-made udon and soba alongside tonkatsu (breaded pork cutlet). Eating alone during a training trip, the writer took a counter seat by the kitchen and then by the window for house-made udon and cheese tonkatsu, and ground sesame from the self-serve bar into the tonkatsu sauce. Kosi Gyodae Branch is busy enough to keep a waiting board, but tables turn over fast, so a solo visit is easy.
