Cleansing balm for dry skin: HEEDA Jirisan Moist Charcoal

How did it feel after washing on dry skin?

As the weather became drier, my face started to feel tight easily after washing, so I tried this while looking for a cleanser that would leave my skin feeling moisturized. On my skin, it felt less tight after cleansing and seemed to leave some moisture behind.

What are the balm texture and feel like?

When I opened the lid, I found a black balm. It melted as softly as butter at my fingertips, making it easy to spread over my skin, and it had a subtle scent. I was able to use it without irritation.

How did I emulsify it before cleansing?

• I used the spatula built into the lid to scoop out an appropriate amount.
• I rolled it over my skin first until it melted into an oil with my body heat.
• I added a little water and emulsified it thoroughly.
• I rinsed several times with lukewarm water.

After rolling it thoroughly, emulsifying, and rinsing, mascara, lipstick, and foundation came off gently as well. It finished fresh without an oily residue after rinsing.

What skin concerns did it suit?

If you often feel tightness after cleansing like I do, or have dry, sensitive skin, this may be a useful texture and feel to consider. I used it by gently rolling it around my nose, and lately, after cleansing with it, I have also felt that my skin texture looked smoother and my complexion looked clearer.

However, blackhead and pore care results or changes in skin condition can vary by person. For me, this was an easy cleansing balm to use on days when I wanted both moisture and cleansing performance.
