Charcoal cleansing balm for dry, clogged skin: HEEDA Jirisan
In short
I used the HEEDA Jirisan Moist Charcoal Cleansing Balm through my second tub for dry skin with T-zone sebum and nose buildup concerns. It melted down my cushion and concealer makeup comfortably, and I liked the low-tightness, low-residue finish after cleansing.

How was it for dry skin with nose sebum and buildup?

My skin gets especially dry in winter, while I also worry about T-zone sebum, nose buildup, and blackheads. I started using the HEEDA Jirisan Moist Charcoal Cleansing Balm while looking for something that would leave my skin feeling less tight after cleansing, and I am now on my second tub.

The black balm melted softly when it met my body heat. In particular, when I rolled it around my nose, it seemed to clear away sebum and roughness, and I was pleased that my nose felt smooth to the touch after cleansing.

Did it remove everyday makeup well?

I usually wear cushion foundation and concealer, and the makeup melted down smoothly as I massaged it in, which made it comfortable to use. I removed waterproof eyeliner by rubbing it a few times, and after adding water to emulsify it, I felt that the slippery feeling did not linger for long.

How did it feel in terms of tightness or irritation after cleansing?

Even when my skin had recently become dry and felt sensitive, it did not sting around my eyes, and it finished without irritation even when I focused on rubbing around my nose. In my case, I felt almost no tightness after cleansing, and I liked the hydrated finish with little residue.

That said, sensitive skin can react differently from person to person. This evaluation reflects the experience of a writer with dry skin who is concerned about T-zone sebum and nose buildup.

How did I use and store it?

At first, I twisted open the clear lid and removed the protective film before using it. Using the included spatula to scoop out the amount I needed made it easy to control the amount and helped keep water out. The instructions said that the spatula can be stored clipped into the lid.

What skin concerns did it suit?

For someone like me who has dryness along with T-zone sebum and nose buildup concerns, it worked well when I wanted to gently massage around my nose during cleansing and reduce post-wash tightness. I kept reaching for it when I wanted both makeup removal and a hydrated finish after cleansing.
