Sunset dinner with poached-egg jjajangmyeon and palbochae: Bueokgan
Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch is a Chinese restaurant in Haeundae, Busan, on the 2nd floor above Subyeon Choego Pork Gukbap in the Haeundae The Sharp Adelisse commercial building. Visiting at sunset for two, the writer ordered jjajangmyeon (black bean noodles) topped with a poached egg, palbochae (mixed seafood and vegetable stir-fry) loaded with sea cucumber, abalone and shrimp, and a Tsingtao, praising the thick-cut meat in the noodles and the chewy seafood. Roomy enough for group gatherings yet relaxed enough for solo diners, it's a solid pick for Chinese food in Marine City.
