Daegu Korean restaurant for a school-break family lunch: Geumdeungeo

Geumdeungeo Deulanguil Main Branch is a wood-fired mackerel restaurant on the hanjeongsik (Korean set-meal) street of Deulan-ro in Suseong-gu, Daegu. Three generations — a mother, her son on school break, and his grandmother — had a weekday lunch of wood-fired mackerel for three (19,000 won) and cockle salad, plus siraegi doenjang guk (dried radish green soup) and a self-serve banchan bar. With private rooms and a parking tower, Geumdeungeo suited a family outing or a group gathering.
