Hamhung naengmyeon at a 60-year Pyeongtaek restaurant: Seoul Myeonok
Seoul Myeonok is a third-generation cold noodle restaurant with 60 years of history, in a Wonpyeong-dong alley 140m from Exit 1 of Pyeongtaek Station. Ordering by tablet, the writer had Hamhung mul-naengmyeon (cold noodles in broth) at 11,000 won, Hamhung bibim-naengmyeon (spicy mixed cold noodles) at 11,000 won and a half plate of suyuk (boiled pork), with free warm broth from the self-serve corner; a little vinegar and mustard made the broth noodles just right, and the bibim noodles needed no extra seasoning. For naengmyeon and suyuk together near Pyeongtaek Station, Seoul Myeonok is the answer.
