Grilled fish sets near Guil Station, Gwangmyeong: Todam Hwadok
Todam Hwadok Saengseongui is a clay-oven grilled fish restaurant on the third floor of a building on Anyangcheon-ro in Gwangmyeong, Gyeonggi, an easy walk from Guil Station along the Anyangcheon stream. The mackerel set and the boribulgui (dried yellow croaker) set were both ordered, each served with hotpot rice and cheonggukjang (rich fermented soybean stew), plus a self-serve banchan bar and a sweet potato roasted in the clay oven for dessert. With the fish, rice, side dishes and dessert all included, Todam Hwadok makes for a genuinely filling Korean meal.
