Eoneu Dal (어느달) is a pasta restaurant on Jeongmundong-gil in Pocheon, Gyeonggi. On an evening visit to Eoneu Dal, the writer had vongole pasta with lime, a truffle-scented carbonara and a shrimp salad with kiwi basil dressing; the noodle texture, unlike that of other pasta places, stood out most. Eoneu Dal is worth considering for unusual pasta in a softly lit evening setting in Pocheon.
Geurine Oasis is a large lake-view bakery café in Gomo-ri, Soheul-eup, Pocheon, Gyeonggi, with a main hall, an annex, a rooftop, outdoor seating and a dog exercise yard. The writer arrived with the kids right at opening time, explored the spaces, then had iced café lattes, a green grape Vita C ade and the Geurine Oasis signature salt bread. Thanks to the salt bread, crisp outside and soft inside, and the lake scenery, Geurine Oasis became a family outing café that even the kids wanted to visit again.
Eungbongjip Dasan Station Branch (응봉집 다산역점) is a frozen pork belly BBQ restaurant in Dasan New Town, Namyangju, Gyeonggi, a 2-minute walk from Exit 4 of Dasan Station. A regular since the early opening days ordered 2 servings of flower pork belly (kkot-samgyeopsal), 2 servings of flower pork neck (kkot-moksal), kimchi jjigae (kimchi stew) and rice, with a generous basic spread of barley ssamjang, lettuce wraps, shredded scallions and minari (water parsley). Staff at Eungbongjip Dasan Station Branch bring side dishes and greens to the table instead of running a self-serve bar, which is why this regular keeps coming back.
