Dongtan izakaya counter seats and fried shrimp heads: Susanjang
Susanjang Dongtan Branch is a seasonal seafood izakaya at Dongtan North Plaza in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi. At a partitioned two-person counter (dachi) seat, the writer ordered Suntory draft beer, seasonal sashimi rolled in aged kimchi, live raw shrimp sashimi, fried shrimp heads for 3,000 won, and butter-grilled rice cake. The raw shrimp had no fishy smell and a crisp, crunchy bite, and the private counter seats suit a date or a light night out.
