Gwangmyeong chicken stew with a melted cheese topping: Sindaebakjip

Sindaebakjip Gwangmyeong Sageori Branch, now signed as Sinjjangdak (신짱닭), is a cast-iron dakdoritang (spicy braised chicken stew) restaurant right in front of Exit 6 of Gwangmyeong Sageori Station in Gyeonggi. The aged kimchi cast-iron dakdoritang for 3 costs 55,000 won, and we added eomuk skewers (fish cake skewers), a mozzarella cheese topping, two bowls of rice and self-fried rice, with the melted cheese calming the spicy sauce. Finishing with the self-fried rice, which leaves a crisp nurungji crust in the pot, is the part worth staying for.
