Charcoal cleansing foam for sensitive skin: HEEDA Jirisan

What are the texture and lather like?

When I first squeezed it out, it felt a little creamier and softer than a typical foam cleanser. The dark-tinted texture initially made me worry that it might be harsh, but the scent was subtle and it felt soft and dense at my fingertips.

When I added water and worked it into a lather, it made abundant, dense foam. I have sometimes found mildly acidic products inconvenient because they lacked foam, but this one lathered well and was easy to use.

Did my skin feel tight after washing?

I washed with the feeling of the foam enveloping my skin, and the area around my eyes did not sting while I used it. It left me feeling refreshed, as if impurities in my pores had been cleared away, and I also used it to remove light makeup.

After washing, my skin felt smooth and moisturized. I did not feel so tight that I wanted to rush into skincare right away, and I especially liked the finish, which felt less drying.

What skin condition did it suit?

It suited me when I was feeling both sensitive and dry and wanted a mildly acidic cleanser that still produced plenty of foam. I hesitated because it was a charcoal cleansing product, but it became a cleanser I reached for every day.

My one-line verdict

The creamy texture, abundant lather, and moisturized-feeling finish after washing felt well balanced. I found it good to use when post-cleansing dryness is a concern, such as in winter.
