Cleansing balm for sensitive skin: HEEDA Jirisan Charcoal Balm
In short
HEEDA Jirisan Moist Charcoal Cleansing Balm is a cleansing balm I tried for sensitive skin in Korea. I used it to remove evening makeup and found that it removed even heavier makeup for me without a second cleanse, though skin reactions can vary.

Why did I choose a balm cleanser for sensitive skin?

Because I have sensitive skin, I tend to use lotion- or balm-type cleansers rather than cleansing oils. After finishing my previous cleansing balm, I tried this cleansing balm from HEEDA, the same brand as the cleansing foam I had liked before.

What were the texture and applicator like?

It is a balm that you scoop out, and the included spatula made it easy to dispense. When I opened the lid, I noticed a scent that seemed to come from the charcoal, and the product itself was quite dark in color.

How did I use it to remove makeup at night?

Recently, I used HEEDA products morning and night. In the morning, I used cleansing foam to wash away overnight oiliness and impurities; at night, I used this cleansing balm to remove makeup.

For me, the cleansing balm removed makeup even on days when I wore heavier makeup, so I did not do a second cleanse. It felt moist and smooth, and I did not find it very irritating while washing my face.

Who might it suit?

It may be worth considering if you prefer balm cleansers to oils and are looking for a makeup cleanser that you scoop out with a spatula. Skin reactions and whether a second cleanse is needed can vary with the amount of makeup and individual skin condition.
