Yeouido tteokbokki restaurant with chicken mayo rice: Hyeonseonine
Hyeonseonine Premium IFC Mall Branch is an instant tteokbokki (spicy stir-fried rice cakes) restaurant on basement level 2 of IFC Mall in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul, linked by underground passage to Exit 3 of Yeouido Station. A Friday visit just after 7pm meant a wait of under 5 minutes for an indoor table, then instant tteokbokki for two at medium spice with bong-eomuk (fish cake skewers), extra ramen noodles, and a chicken mayo rice bowl mixed straight into the pot at the end. The medium level at Hyeonseonine was already pleasantly hot, enough to make the spicy version tempting next time.
