Overnight lip mask for flaky lips: Durgent
In short
Durgent Overnight Lip Mask is an overnight lip care product from Korea for lips prone to flaking. I applied the balm generously before bed and found some of it still remained by morning, when gentle cleansing seemed to lift away flakes. Verdict: a comfortable nightly lip care option for dry, flaky lips.

Was it easy to use at night even for lips that frequently get flaky?
Even on days when I do not wear lip makeup, rough lips bother me, and I have even made them bleed by picking at flakes, so I tend to reapply lip balm often.

Even in summer, if I do not apply a lip mask at night, flakes tend to come back by the afternoon, so I have made lip care before bed a habit regardless of the season.

The product I used this time was the Durgent Overnight Lip Mask. It is the kind that coats the lips while you sleep, so I applied a generous layer before bed.

What are the texture and application like?
The compact packaging made it easy to keep on my vanity. I also used it like lip balm in the morning and evening, but basically, I just applied it as the final step of my skincare routine before bed.

The texture was a balm that was neither too runny nor too firm. It came with a silicone lip spatula, which made it easy to scoop out and apply.

How did it feel on the lips?
With shea butter in the formula, it felt comfortable for me, since my lips tend to dry out easily overnight.

It spread smoothly over my lips and felt as though it adhered well. Rather than disappearing quickly, it seemed to leave a protective layer behind; it felt like it wrapped around my lips rather than sitting heavily on them, so it was nice for bedtime. It felt more cushiony than the Vaseline lip product I had been using.
How did flakes feel during morning cleansing?
It was said to contain exfoliating-care ingredients such as AHA, PHA, or plant-derived enzymes, along with tocopherol, panthenol, ceramide, centella asiatica extract, collagen, and peptides. Instead of picking at flakes with my fingers, I applied a generous layer of the lip mask before bed, and it felt as though some of it remained until morning.

When I gently rubbed my lips while cleansing in the morning, it felt as though the flakes were rolling away. My lips tend to be dry even in summer when the air conditioner runs for long periods, so I used it for nighttime lip care throughout all four seasons.
