Butcher shop in Gapyeong for charcoal-grill Korean beef: Ari Chuksan

In short

Ari Chuksan is a butcher shop in Cheongpyeong-myeon, Gapyeong, where I bought Korean beef for a trip. I chose salchisal and kkotdeungsim cut to my preferred thickness, and both were juicy and nutty when grilled over charcoal; the meat quality and service are why I return.

Where did I buy meat for my Gapyeong trip?

When I need to buy meat for a Gapyeong trip, I go to Ari Chuksan (아리축산) on Gangbyeon-ro in Cheongpyeong-myeon. I have returned because I like the meat quality and the service they provide. This time, I chose Korean beef salchisal (chuck flap tail) and kkotdeungsim (ribeye) to grill over charcoal.

What meats are available besides Korean beef?

The shop stated that it carries only 1++ No. 9 Korean beef. It also sells lamb ribs and wagyu, and says it breaks down and processes pork and Korean beef itself every week.

There was a wide range of cuts, including kkotdeungsim, wagyu, and galbisal (boneless short rib meat), as well as vegetables to eat with the meat. I was told the imported meat was also good, but I bought Korean beef this time.

Meat for stew was separately prepared and sold. The shop also carries tomahawk steaks, pork tomahawks, neck meat, belly meat, udaegalbi (premium beef ribs), lamb ribs, lamb skewers, and chilled imported meat. The cuts were neatly packaged, making them easy to browse and choose.

It says it makes gochujang jeyuk (spicy pork), soy-sauce bulbaek (marinated pork), beef bulgogi, LA galbi, dwaeji wang gui (king-sized grilled pork), and pork cutlets itself. There were also meal kits, so there were many options beyond fresh meat for grilling.

Can I also buy vegetables to eat with the meat?

Button mushrooms, good for grilling alongside meat, were neatly packaged. I could also buy vegetables such as lettuce, peppers, and mushrooms, and shredded scallions were listed at ₩500 including sauce.

How were the salchisal and kkotdeungsim I chose?

After some thought, I bought 1++ No. 9 Korean beef salchisal and kkotdeungsim. My son likes kkotdeungsim with saewusal (ribeye cap) attached.

I also liked the meat’s marbling. For ingredients to grill alongside it, I like mushrooms, potatoes, and onions.

They sliced the meat immediately to my preferred thickness. When I grilled it over charcoal, it was juicy and nutty.

I grilled and enjoyed the salchisal and kkotdeungsim on this Gapyeong trip as well. I also liked that they included salt and sauce; the meat and service are why I return.

What are the visit hours and reservation and delivery terms?

According to the original post written on Sep 3, 2026, hours are daily from 9:00 AM to 8:50 PM. The address is 1F, 23 Gangbyeon-ro, Cheongpyeong-myeon, Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea.

The shop stated that if you apply for a reservation purchase through Naver Place before visiting, it provides lettuce, shredded scallions, salt, sauce, and more. Delivery purchases are also available; delivery is free for purchases of ₩70,000 or more, and it says salt and sauce are included with deliveries too.

It also listed day-specific promotions. Tuesday is pork butchering day, when it provides extras such as pork skin; Thursday is beef butchering day, when it sells yukhoe (Korean beef tartare) and yuksashimi (raw beef slices) and provides extras such as liver and cheonyeop (omasum). It said additional discounts are offered on weekends.

The original post says Onnuri gift certificates, Zero Pay, Korea agricultural activity gift certificates, and high-fuel-price damage support funds can be used.
