Gangneung Korean set meal with doenjang cabbage wraps: Saimdang Bueok
Saimdang Bueok is a home-style Korean set-meal restaurant on Jukheon-gil near Ojukheon in Gangneung. Two Saimdang tables were ordered, with the soup split one Chodang sundubu (soft tofu) and one miyeok-guk (seaweed soup), plus an extra plate of cabbage wraps with the restaurant's own homemade doenjang (soybean paste). Grilled fish, pork stir-fry, grilled scallops, braised kodari (half-dried pollack) and namul sides made it a filling, easy-on-the-stomach meal.
