Bar-table solo lunch at a Dongtan gomtang restaurant: Baekok Dongtan
Baekok Dongtan is a gomtang (Korean beef bone soup) restaurant in the basement 1 food court of Lotte Department Store Dongtan in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi. After buying books at Youngpoong Bookstore, the writer ate a solo lunch at the food court bar table with the herbal gomtang set (herbal gomtang, cabbage dumplings and a drink) for 21,000 won, and the broth simmered with neungi mushrooms and milkvetch root was so rich that not a drop of soup or grain of rice was left. Baekok Dongtan is worth recommending as a refuelling meal in the middle of a department store shopping trip.
