Daegu Korean restaurant lunch near Banwoldang, 20-min wait at 11:20am

Banwoldang Bujasikdang is a fire-grilled Korean restaurant a 2-minute walk from Exit 21 of Banwoldang Station in Jung-gu, Daegu. Even arriving at 11:20am, the writer had to register on Tabling and wait 20 minutes for a table before ordering two servings of jikhwa ojebokkeum (fire-grilled squid and pork stir-fry) with two bowls of rice. With five side dishes, a self-serve wrap-vegetable bar, and cheonggukjang doenjang stew (fermented soybean paste stew) rounding out the meal, it made for a filling lunch — reserving ahead or arriving a bit early is the move at lunchtime.
