Kids calcium-magnesium powder for picky eaters: The Day Tunteun
In short
The Day Tunteun Kids Calma-D Plus K2 Strawberry Flavor is a children’s powdered supplement I tried with a child whose appetite and meal portions had become inconsistent. The child liked its sweet-tart strawberry flavor both on its own and mixed with water, and the individual packets were convenient to carry out.

I received this product and tried it with my child.

Why did I try a children’s calcium-magnesium supplement?
My child used to eat well when younger, but has become pickier lately. I make sure to offer bananas and tomatoes, which my child eats relatively well in the morning, but I worried that such a repetitive diet might not provide enough nutrition.

During that time, I tried The Day Tunteun Kids Calma-D Plus K2 Strawberry Flavor. What mattered to me was whether my child would take it without resistance and whether it would be easy for me to give regularly.

How did my child respond to the powder and strawberry flavor?
It came as a fine, soft powder. For a product I give my child, I pay as much attention to flavor as I do to the ingredients. No matter how much I want to provide something, it is difficult to keep giving it if my child will not eat it.

This product had a sweet-tart strawberry flavor. I usually mix powdered products with water, but my child seemed to prefer having this one as is and asked for the powder first.

How was it taken on its own and mixed with water?
When I opened a packet, my child would pour the powder into their mouth. When I gave it to my child, it was eaten right away without spilling, so it was convenient that I did not need to prepare it by mixing it with water.

My child also drank it well when I mixed it with a small amount of water. My child seemed to think of it like juice. The most convenient part was not having to repeatedly encourage my child to take it or struggle over it.

What ingredient and formulation information did I look at?
Because it was a product for my child, I also looked at the ingredient composition. I noticed the description that calcium and magnesium were formulated in a 2-to-1 ratio.

I also reviewed the description that the calcium was micronized, coated with lecithin, and encapsulated, as well as the description that it contains vitamin D3 and trans MK-7 vitamin K2.

The magnesium was described as a liposomal formulation using ingredients from Poland. I referred to these ingredient and formulation descriptions, while the parts I was satisfied with after trying it were my child’s response to the flavor and how easy it was to give.

Were the individual packets convenient when going out?
Each sachet was individually packaged, which made storage easy. They also took up little space, so I carried a few packets in the diaper bag when going out.

My child ate it well on days when I brought it along. At a time when I was concerned about inconsistent meal portions, I was satisfied with a flavor my child asked for first and the convenient packaging.
