Cheonho Station gukbap restaurant, free rear parking: Boseung Hoegwan

Boseung Hoegwan Cheonho Station Branch is a 24-hour gukbap (rice-and-soup) restaurant 88m from Exit 3 of Cheonho Station in Gangdong, Seoul. Arriving by car on a weekday before 11am, the writer parked free in the lot behind the building and ordered the solo-special pork jowl gukbap at 18,000 won, spicy pork-bone soup at 12,000 won, and seasoned boiled dumplings at 4,000 won. The broth, made with pork jowl only, was rich enough to drink straight from the bowl, making Boseung Hoegwan an easy choice for an early lunch or a late-night second round.
