Cleansing balm for dehydrated oily skin: HEEDA Jirisan Charcoal
In short
HEEDA Jirisan Moist Charcoal Cleansing Balm is a cleansing balm I tried as a first cleanse for dehydrated oily skin in Korea. It melted into an oil-like texture, emulsified with water, and left my skin feeling moisturized with less tightness and residual oil.

How did it feel on dehydrated oily skin?

I usually follow cleansing oil or lotion with cleansing foam, but this product felt fine to use as my first cleanse after removing makeup. I used it when winter dryness, skin texture, and sebum were on my mind.

How did the texture melt, and how did I cleanse?

The solid balm melted softly on contact with body heat and spread like an oil. I scooped out an appropriate amount with the spatula, massaged it over my face, added water to emulsify it, then massaged for about 30 more seconds before rinsing.

How did my skin feel after cleansing?

I liked that it felt sufficiently cleansing while leaving my skin feeling moisturized afterward. There was little feeling of oil left behind, and the reduced inner tightness in particular made it feel well suited to my dehydrated oily skin.

What was convenient about the packaging?

I found it convenient that the spatula could be stored fitted into the lid, so I did not need to look for it separately when using it.

Who might it suit?

If you are concerned about sebum or blackheads and are looking for a cleansing product that leaves less inner tightness after washing, this may be a useful reference. Skin reactions can vary from person to person.
