Seolleung sushi birthday party: engawa encore and egg nigiri, Sakai
Sakai is a sushi sakaba in Gangnam, Seoul, about a 6-minute walk from Exit 2 of Seolleung Station. To celebrate a close friend's birthday and her first omakase, we ordered à la carte at Sakai — sea bream, engawa, roll sushi, tuna akami and sweet shrimp — and surprised her with a lettering cake. The engawa was so good we ordered an encore piece, making Sakai a great-value sushi spot for treating someone on a special day.
