Mapo Station gyukatsu restaurant with a fox statue interior: Gyudo
Premium Gyukatsu Gyudo Mapo Gongdeok Main Branch is a premium gyukatsu (breaded beef cutlet) restaurant on the basement level of the Mapo Hanwha Obelisk mall in Mapo, Seoul, connected underground to Mapo Station. I ordered the gyukatsu set and the steak set and grilled the beef myself on a personal bangjja brassware brazier, and the wood-smoked beef at Gyudo had none of the fishy taste I remember from gyukatsu in Japan. The pot rice finishes as ochazuke with your choice of 3 broths, which makes Gyudo an easy call for a solo meal, a blind date or a dinner date.
