Respire Bakery Cafe Seochon is a bakery and brunch café on Hyoja-ro 13-gil in Jongno, Seoul, a short walk from Gyeongbokgung Station. On this visit the order was a cheese olive ciabatta with an iced caffè latte and an iced matcha latte, and the chewy ciabatta carried nutty cheese and salty olive in a clean, light bite. Respire is an easy place to stop for bread and a drink in the middle of a Seochon walk.
Elephant Sushi Gwanghwamun is a Japanese sushi restaurant in Jongno, Seoul, linked directly to Exit 2 of Gwanghwamun Station through the basement floor of the KT Gwanghwamun building. The Elephant Sushi B set, ordered from a tablet at the table, brings 12 pieces of sushi with soup and buckwheat noodles, covering tuna, salmon, white fish and futomaki, served here with a glass of orange juice. Thick, aged cuts of neta and a walk straight from the subway made Elephant Sushi Gwanghwamun an easy lunch stop.
