Under ₩10,000 a serving Korean BBQ near Mapo Station: Mapo Gui Madang
Mapo Gui Madang Yonggang Direct Branch is an old-school Korean BBQ restaurant on a main road just over a ten-minute walk from Mapo Station in Seoul, known for cheap naengsam (frozen pork belly). Two of us went on a Monday after work, started with 3 servings of naengsam, added a 4th, and ordered doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) and rice from the handwritten wall menu rather than the printed one. With naengsam under ₩10,000 a serving, Mapo Gui Madang is a repeat-visit dinner near Mapo Station where one more order never hurts.
