Korean bar near Isu Station, Seoul: beef tripe hotpot at Ari Gyegok

Ari Gyegok Isu Station Branch is a Korean-style bar and restaurant in Dongjak, Seoul, a 3-minute walk from Isu Station Exit 13. On a weekday evening, two people ordered the beef tripe soft tofu hotpot (₩23,900) and the burnt rice monkfish liver yukhoe (₩22,900) with soju and beer: the tripe was tender with no off smell, and the raw beef tasted nutty alongside the monkfish liver and crisp burnt rice. Two dishes filled both of us up, so the only regret at Ari Gyegok was not having room to order more — the value here is hard to beat.
