Daegu Dongseong-ro makchang restaurant with 1kg raw makchang: Bongja
Bongja Makchang Daegu Jongno Branch is a raw makchang (grilled pork intestine) restaurant on Jongno in Jung-gu, Daegu, right by Dongseong-ro. Arriving at 9pm behind a four-team wait, the writer ordered 500g plus 500g of raw makchang and doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) for 2,000 won, drank two bottles of Chamisul soju, and finished with free steamed egg, unlimited self-serve ramyeon and self-made fried rice. The makchang comes out crisp outside and tender inside with no gamy smell, making Bongja Makchang an easy pick near Dongseong-ro.
