Poke restaurant near Samseong Station: buldak octopus bowl at Ola Poke

Ola Poke Samseong Branch is a poke restaurant near Samseong Station and COEX in Gangnam, Seoul. The buldak (fire-chicken sauce) octopus poke bowl came with big chunks of octopus plus chickpeas, lentils, corn, grains and vegetables, and the sauce was generous enough that the bowl never felt like eating plain greens. Ola Poke Samseong Branch suits a day when you want a light lunch but don't want to be hungry again by mid-afternoon.

Seocho gimbap restaurant with nurungji tteokbokki for kids: Halls

Halls Gimbap Main Branch is a gimbap and bunsik (Korean snack food) restaurant on Seocho-jungang-ro 22-gil, near Gyodae Station in Seocho, Seoul. On a visit with a child, the order was spam gimbap, wasabi gimbap and Seocho nurungji (scorched rice) tteokbokki, and the nurungji tteokbokki drew the best reaction from the child. Each dish at Halls Gimbap Main Branch has its own character, which makes it a fun pick-and-choose meal near Gyodae Station.
