Gangnam Station noodle restaurant for yupomyeon lunch: Namsogwan
Namsogwan U Yuk Dosakmyeon is a Taiwanese and Hong Kong-style dosakmyeon (hand-shaved noodle) restaurant on Teheran-ro 1-gil, right in front of Gangnam Station in Seoul. On a weekday lunch after finals, two friends ordered yupomyeon (oil-poured shaved noodles), fried eggplant and a Qingdao beer, and were seated on the second floor, with red lighting over jade-green wallpaper, because the first floor was full. The chewy bite of the hand-shaved noodles and the scallion oil aroma are what make Namsogwan U Yuk Dosakmyeon worth the visit.
