Yeonnam-dong seafood chazuke on a weekday lunch: Ochaya Yeonnam
Ochaya Yeonnam is an ochazuke (tea-poured rice) restaurant on the second floor of a Yeonnam-dong side street in Seoul, a 7-minute walk from Hongik University Station Exit 3. On a weekday lunch the signature kaisen chazuke arrived dry, and pouring hot green tea over the second half turned one bowl into two different dishes. With popping flying fish roe in the seafood tartare plus seaweed, kimchi and pickled mustard greens on the side, Ochaya Yeonnam's kaisen chazuke never got monotonous.
