Yeonnam-dong Japanese restaurant with sake-don and tendon: Jongno
Jongno Donburi Yeonnam is a Japanese rice bowl restaurant in a basement space in Yeonnam-dong, Seoul, a 7-minute walk from Exit 3 of Hongdae Station. On staff recommendation the writer ordered one sake-don (salmon rice bowl) and one tendon (tempura rice bowl) to share, added an onsen tamago (soft-poached egg) on the side, and paired the tendon's tempura with a glass of Asahi draft beer. With generous portions on every dish, Jongno Donburi Yeonnam turned out to be a great Yeonnam-dong spot for splitting a meal for two.
