Hapjeong bossam restaurant for a post-workout dinner: Pyeongidambaek

Pyeongidambaek Ppyeo Kalguksu Main Branch is a bossam (boiled pork) and kalguksu (knife-cut noodle) restaurant in Mapo, Seoul, in the alley off the Seongsan Elementary crossroads between Hapjeong and Mangwon stations. After a Saturday workout, two diners spent 57,000 won in total on a medium bossam at 42,000 won, a South Sea anchovy kalguksu at 5,000 won and two bottles of Chamisul soju, and the napa cabbage wraps and the anchovy broth mixed with dadegi (spicy chili paste) stood out. With six neatly plated side dishes and free refills, Pyeongidambaek made for a satisfying protein-heavy dinner.
