Date lunch after a Daehangno play: beef noodles at Cheonghwawon
Cheonghwawon Daehangno Branch is a Taiwanese-Hong Kong style Chinese restaurant near Daehangno in Jongno, Seoul. After watching a play, the writer and her boyfriend shared three dishes — beef daoxiaomian noodles, cream shrimp, and xiaolongbao — trading the light broth off against the rich cream shrimp so neither got tiring. It's a solid pick for a pre- or post-theater date meal in the area.
