Jongno's Seosullo-gil bakery after an autumn walk: rice cheese loaf
Munhwa Bakery is a takeout-only bakery on Donhwamun-ro in Jongno, Seoul, an easy stop on a walk through Jongno 3-ga, Jongmyo Shrine and Seosullo-gil. Arriving around noon on a weekend meant waiting in line, since only two groups are let inside at a time, and the order was plain, lightly sweet breads to share with parents: rice cheese loaf 5,900 won, cheese bread 5,400 won and walnut bread 3,500 won. Munhwa Bakery keeps prices low and loaves large, making it a good gift stop after a look around Ikseon-dong.
