Gangnam Station jazz bar 4pm show: white lasagna at Flat Nine

Flat Nine is a jazz performance restaurant-bar on the 5th floor of K-Tower, a 5-minute walk from Gangnam Station Exit 10 in Seocho, Seoul. Visiting for two at the 4pm first show, the performance fee was ₩15,000 per person and the classic course ₩39,000, bringing white lasagna and Jeju black pork tenderloin steak alongside live jazz. A great Gangnam Station date spot for pairing a meal with live music.

Lunch discount kalnakji noodles at Obongjip Samseong, Gangnam

Obongjip Samseong Branch is a Korean restaurant near Samseong Station and COEX in Gangnam, Seoul, known for octopus stir-fry and bossam (boiled pork belly). At lunch, the writer ordered kalnakji (knife-cut noodle octopus soup) for 14,000 won and a bossam set for 11,000 won with the lunch discount, plus a rice ball, and got portions that looked like enough for four despite ordering for two. Between the whole octopus, chewy knife-cut noodles, and rice mixed into the leftover sauce at the end, it's a trusted go-to near COEX.
