Dohwa-dong beef restaurant in Seoul with a yuksashimi set: Usijang
Usijang Hoegwan is an old-school beef restaurant in a Dohwa-dong alley within walking distance of Mapo Station, Seoul. The meal was the Two Plus No. 9 kkuri-sal perilla-leaf yuksashimi (raw beef sashimi) set for 55,000 won and the clam beef gukbap (beef and rice soup) for 14,000 won, and wrapping the raw beef in perilla leaves won over a diner who could never eat yuksashimi before. Round hoods above the tables keep the smoke away, and 50 group seats make Usijang Hoegwan an easy pick for company dinners.
