Full eel rice bowl course with chawanmushi at Manmok, Gangnam
Manmok is an eel rice bowl restaurant on Seonneung-ro 82-gil near Seonleung Station in Gangnam, Seoul. This visit ordered the full eel rice bowl set, served course-style with chawanmushi (Japanese-style steamed egg custard), matsutake-scented broth, radish salad, white kimchi, sansho pepper, and matcha or black tea ice cream, plus a free draft beer for leaving a receipt review. Wide table spacing made it comfortable for both group dinners and solo dining, and the eel itself was thick, fluffy, and beautifully seasoned.
