Hongdae Korean restaurant for a gentle meal when your stomach hurts
Baengni Gomtang is a beef gomtang (bone broth soup) and yukhoe bibimbap restaurant in a Hongdae alley, five minutes from Exit 6 of Hongik University Station in Mapo, Seoul. On a day of stomach cramps when spicy food was off the table, the writer ordered beef gomtang and a large beef yukhoe bibimbap (raw beef mixed rice), both topped with sprout ginseng and mild enough to finish without any salt or pepper. A solid pick in Hongdae when you want a warm, gentle meal instead of meat or drinks.
