Black beef sirloin with wasabi and myeongi namul, Jongno Seoul BBQ
Gwanghwamun Deungsim Gwanghwamun Branch is a Korean BBQ restaurant on the 2nd floor of a building on Jongno 5-gil in Jongno-gu, Seoul. Visiting on a weekday evening at 6:30pm with no wait, the writer had 150g of black beef sirloin (₩39,000) with old-style doenjang jjigae, mul naengmyeon, and a free spicy stir-fried octopus from a review event, and the owner's tip of wasabi wrapped in myeongi namul (mountain garlic leaf) stood out. With tender sirloin and well-executed side dishes, it's a solid pick for a Jongno gathering or company dinner.
