Hongdae restaurant with cold makguksu and gomtang: Yukjeon Gukbap
Yukjeon Gukbap Seogyo Branch is a 24-hour Korean restaurant a 5-minute walk from Exit 1 of Hongik University Station in Mapo, Seoul. The order was the mul-makguksu set (chilled buckwheat noodles in cold broth) and the gomtang set (clear beef soup), one with the meatball pancake and one with the beef pancake, and the best part was adding self-serve yeolmu kimchi (young radish kimchi) to the noodles. Yukjeon Gukbap Seogyo Branch is worth a visit when you want cold noodles and hot soup in one sitting, especially the day after drinking.
