Weekend hangover pork gopchang hot pot near Gildong Station, Seoul
Sinjuokmi Gildong Direct Branch is a soup-focused Korean restaurant near Gildong Station in Gangdong, Seoul, run by Master Chef Jo Hyeon-myeong, a certified Korean Food Master in the sundaeguk (blood sausage soup) category. Two guys in their 30s, nursing a hangover, showed up at 2pm on a weekend, ordered the pork gopchang (intestine) hot pot, and refilled rice twice at the self-serve bar. The gopchang had zero funky smell and a chewy, satisfying texture, and with unlimited rice and noodles on top, the verdict was clear: worth paying full price to come back.
