Stone-milled tofu restaurant near Yangcheonhyanggyo Station, Seoul
Maetdolroman Deungchon Branch is a tofu specialty restaurant near Yangcheonhyanggyo Station in Gangseo, Seoul, where the tofu is ground fresh every day on a stone mill. Arriving at 8:30pm, the writer ordered hanwoo sundubu (Korean beef soft tofu stew) for 11,000 won, cheonggukjang (rich fermented soybean stew) for 10,000 won and kongbiji-jeon (soybean pulp pancake) for 8,000 won, and refilled the free sundubu from the self-serve corner twice. The tofu at Maetdolroman keeps a real bite and tastes deep without any added seasoning, so there is no need to travel far for a tofu meal.
