Day drinking at Mangwon-dong sashimi bar with free sides: Mapo Bamdada

Mapo Bamdada is a sashimi restaurant in Mangwon-dong, Seoul, a 3-minute walk from Exit 4 of Mapo-gu Office Station, open daily from 12:00 to 1:00. Ordering the seasonal raw shrimp sashimi brought a generous free spread of soy sauce shrimp, mulhoe (cold raw fish soup), braised kodari (half-dried pollack) and clam soup, and the shrimp dipped in chipotle sauce with flying fish roe was the standout bite. For day drinking over raw seafood in Mapo, Mapo Bamdada is worth the trip.
