Hwaseong butcher restaurant pork jowl knife-cut tableside: Morakmorak

Morakmorak Jeongyuk Sikdang is a pick-your-own-meat butcher restaurant in Namyang-eup, Hwaseong, near Hwaseong City Hall and Rolling Hills. The pork jowl (hangjeongsal) and pork belly (samgyeopsal) are seared first and then cut with a knife right in front of the table, served with a taco self-bar, unlimited tasting portions of beef tartare, muksabal (chilled acorn jelly soup) and doenjang jjigae, plus ramyeon in Korean beef bone broth. The pork jowl at Morakmorak was crisp outside and juicy inside with no gamey smell, and beat the pork belly.
